February 2015 Favorites

I'm a little late to the party this month, but there's still time to share what I was obsessed with in the month of February! February was a great month for beauty, but I've narrowed it down to my four favorites.

bareMinerals "A Bronze Affair": I bought this bronzer/luminizer duo back in July, but never really reached for it much until February. It came with an awesome little blush brush that I've used pretty frequently, but until now the compact didn't pique my interest.

In February, however, my skin really needed some perking up. This winter was especially rough, and my skin seemed so lackluster and pale. I was a bit bored with my everyday bronzer, so I decided to dust off this little guy and take it for a whirl. The matte bronzer side is awesome for warming up the face (and even doing light contouring). The highlighter is subtle yet effective. Unlike the Ready foundation, however, instead of just tapping the brush in the product, I find that it's best to swirl it a bit or you won't get enough on your brush. Unfortunately this product is sold out on the bareMinerals website, I'm sorry!

Innarah Defense Masque: I received this facial mask in my January Birchbox. I'm always very hesitant to try any facial products I receive because I have a very strict skincare regimen to keep my acne under control. This mask looked interesting, though, and it promised some amazing benefits. Smaller pores, revitalized skin, improved texture... how could I not give it a chance? I was really happy that I did! I use this mask about once a week, and I definitely notice a difference the next day. My skin always seems a bit tighter and smoother, and looks more even. More importantly, it doesn't affect my acne at all! Too bad the full size jar is $125...

Lip Smackers: There's been a lot of talk recently about the possibility of Lip Smackers leaving American drugstores due to the takeover of Bonne Bell by another company. I hope these rumors aren't true, but they did light a burning desire in me to hoard some Lip Smackers. If you take a look at my instagram (here) you can see that I've gone on a buying spree of these childhood favorites. At the moment, the two that haven't left my side are the Coke and Dr Pepper flavors. I'm a Diet Coke addict, so having the flavor any time I want is a delight, and the Dr Pepper provides the perfect hint of red in addition to it's deliciousness. I recently also got the breakfast flavors collection including flavors like orange juice and maple bacon (mmmmm....).

Ro's Argan Body Conditioner from Lush: I received my first tub of this miracle worker as a gift for my 30th birthday, and I've been hooked ever since. This is the perfect product for anyone who forgets to use regular body lotion, or doesn't have the time to sit and wait for it to absorb. While you're still in the shower, step away from the water and rub some of this wonderfully scented conditioner wherever you would normally moisturize, and then just wait a minute or two. Do whatever else you need to do: wash your face, lather on some shampoo, anything to let this sit on your skin for a moment. Then rinse off and enjoy your soft smooth skin. Smelling like roses, this body conditioner replaces the need for traditional lotion! It's a multitasker, too, as I like to put a bit on the ends of my hair. This body conditioner was great for combatting my dry winter skin.
