Hey, my beauties! Recently I had the honor of receiving a VoxBox from Influenster. If you're unaware, Influenster is a site that occasionally will send a box of sample products to selected members for testing. It's free to sign up, and uses surveys and your social reach as determining factors in who gets chosen to receive a box. I was selected to receive the XOVoxBox and it came in the mail a few weeks ago.
In addition to offers from ebay, Lands End, and the subscription lingerie site Adore Me, I received products from Tide, Colgate, John Frieda, and SkinFix to try. Again, I received all of these as complimentary products for testing. I was so incredibly excited to dig in, here's what I thought!
Tide Pods with Febreze: I don't have a washer/dryer in my house, so I had to wait for a trip to the laundromat in order to try these puppies out.
I was nervous to try these little pods because I wasn't sure if they'd work with the laundromat washers. The machines we use have a pre-wash cycle, where you can put detergent in and it does a quick wash before the real main wash begins. I was afraid that the pod would dissolve during the pre-wash, and then there'd be no detergent in the drum for the main wash. But it seems to have worked perfectly because my clothes came out of the wash nice and clean, and they smelled fantastic. I kept sniffing my clothes as I put them in the dryer because they smelled so wonderful! My clothes felt softer, too. If you are a person who likes long-lasting scents with their laundry, these pods are perfect for you, as the fresh smell lasted even through the drying cycle.
John Frieda Frizz Ease Collection "Beyond Smooth": I received a small tube of the John Frieda shampoo, conditioner, and primer to try out. Frizz is something I battle with all the time. When I let my hair naturally dry, it seems to be neither straight, wavy, nor curly, but instead just kind of exists. It is a state of perpetual ridiculousness, and to combat that, I usually just wear my hair in a bun.
I was very keen on trying this collection since I've never really tried a higher-end, frizz-busting shampoo to try and tame my locks. My first impression was that these products smell really great. I'm also glad that these products are safe for color-treated hair, since I recently dyed my hair. After using this shampoo, conditioner, and primer for about two weeks, my hair seems much less frizzy! I wasn't really expecting it to do miracles, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that my crazy hair has turned into much more organized waves. I've even worn my hair down more, without even blow drying it! I'm very tempted to purchase the full sizes of these products.
Skinfix Hand Repair Cream: This was the first product out of the whole box that I grabbed and opened. My hands during the winter are painfully dry, even to the point of cracking and bleeding. I've been using this hand cream pretty regularly since receiving it, and I really love it. It moisturizes my hands very well, and only is greasy for a little while. My favorite time to use it is right before bed; I put it on the back of one of my hands and then rub it in with the back of my other hand. Then I just let it absorb and try not to wash my hands for the rest of the night. I wake up with soft hands! My only complaint is the smell is a bit odd, but it dissipates quickly after the lotion absorbs.
Colgate Optic White Toothbrush, Whitening Pen, & Express White Toothpaste: I haven't tried these yet as I just finished a round of teeth whitening, but I am so happy to have these in my arsenal because I'm a bit unhappy that the brand I was using didn't whiten my teeth enough! I'm going to wait a few weeks and then try this system, hopefully it will work better!
I was psyched to be chosen to receive a box from Influenster, and I'm so happy with the XOVoxBox I received. Being a part of Influenster makes me feel so important! If you'd like to sign up, visit the Influenster site.
Again, I received these complimentary products from Influenster for testing and review, with no compensation for any review, be it positive or otherwise.
I have the Colgate Max White toothpaste, but the whitening pen sounds interesting! I'm always conscious of the whiteness of my teeth - the one downside to drinking tea! Hope it works better than your last teeth whitening kit!
